English Education Assessment Committee
(IEEAC) of IEERA
is a prime provider of accurate educational measurement and assessment services in
North America, Europe, Australia,
New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region. It has been involved in
educational measurement worldwide since 1958 and is the largest independent provider of school tests in the
world.
IEEAC
is
the international education, training and consultancy arm of the
International English Education
Research Association
(IEERA).
IEEAC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of
IEERA.
One of the most widely known
IEEAC activities is the
International English Competitions, introduced in 1975. The Competitions now attract more than
30 million entries each year and have expanded in range and levels to test English
Speech, English Writing,
English Application Skills and so on.
IEEAC provides high quality teaching evaluation, course evaluation and
admissions testing services to schools and the higher education sector. It also provides customised measurement services to a range of clients in the government and private sectors.
The Committee is highly regarded for its contribution to the theory and research that underpins development in educational measurement and assessment. In coming years - with the introduction of various online initiatives and the extension of research activities - the Committee is expected to develop a global profile.
