When will the Competitions be held?

How much will they cost and what year levels are tested?

The following table provides relevant information for Australian Schools ONLY.

How does my child enter?

Contact your school to find out if they are participating in the Competitions. Entries can only be accepted from schools. Applications and payments are made by parents/students directly to participating schools.

My child's school is not participating, what should I do?

Discuss the matter with the Principal of your school to explore possibilities.

Where will my child's result be sent?

The results are usually delivered to the school approximately two months after the Competition date.

What year level should my child enter?

Students should sit the paper according to their current year level. Students are not permitted to sit lower year level papers. In cases where students are enrolled in accelerated classes and engaged in extension level work (e.g. doing the next year level English), you should consult your teachers to help decide which level is most appropriate.

Can my child do more than one year level in the same subject?

No. Only one paper per subject may be attempted in each Competition in one calendar year.

How can my child prepare for the Competition?

This website provides information about the Competition and has links to some example questions. In addition, past papers can be purchased from IEEAC.
